Ciclos biogeoquímicos y producción/consumo de gases de efecto invernadero en sistemas acuáticos.

RESEÑA

Profesora de Oceanografía Química de la Escuela de Ciencias del Mar de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Oceanógrafo que estudia los ciclos biogeoquímicos en el océano y ambientes acuáticos costeros y continentales. Desde hace 20 años trabaja en el estudio de la producción y consumo de gases de efecto invernadero (CO2, CH4 y N2O) en las zonas de mínimo de oxígeno, la capa superficial del océano, los remolinos de mesoescala, los microplásticos y pellets fecales de la capa superficial, entre otros ambientes marinos, su variabilidad en el tiempo y el espacio, los forzantes que favorecen la producción de estos gases y su intercambio con la atmósfera.
