Master in Mechanisms of Clean Development and Energy Efficiency

This program provides the necessary tools so that, at the end of the program, the candidate is able to identify greenhouse gas reduction opportunities and develop projects in the carbon market, CDM and voluntary market; besides having solid skills for the management of non-conventional renewable energy projects, energy efficiency, carbon footprint and environmental sustainability.

This master's degree focuses on two focal points. The first aims to develop the necessary concepts to fully understand, in context and with a practical approach, the operation of the CDM, the voluntary market and the carbon market in general. It addresses the phenomenon of climate change and the technical concepts necessary to understand its regime and applicable standards; the basic concepts of science and environmental economics; the Chilean environmental institutional framework as a necessary tool to combine the application of the previous elements. The second axis is developed on the basis of renewable energy and energy efficiency, understood as an opportunity in the context of the development and use of the carbon market, also having optional courses related to the carbon footprint and food security and climate change.
